This inner city townhouse garden is of easy care/low maintenance design. The idea was to create seamless transitions from inside to outside making the most of the view from the living room. This lead to the creation of great indoor/outdoor transitional space. The landscape pulled inspiration from our New Zealand native bush including the natural colour palette of the timber deck, natural stones/paths and the species of plants selected for the landscape.
Creation of the Sanctuary:
- Confirmed site measurements to allow for decking, natural stones, stone paths /concrete paths. Completed sketch designs to establish initial layout
- Specifying of the variety of plants suitable for the space
- Planned layout and routing of automated irrigation system
- Built complete layout within CAD software for visualisation/costing & construction
- Physically undertaking the construction of deck/planter box & living wall/natural stone paths
- Project finished by installing automated irrigation, working in conjunction with the placement of planting & natural schist stone/volcanic rock formations
- Prep and oiling of the natural timber deck/planter box
- Custom designed and built exterior table to suit the size of the outdoor living space
